The investment objective of the Ridley “All-Asset” Portfolios is to provide tax-efficient performance that equals or exceeds the common industry benchmark, the Standard & Poors 500 Index, with lower volatility. Ridley Asset Management offers clients distinct portfolio management options -- Ridley's "All-Asset" Core, "All-Asset" Explore and "All-Asset" Core & Explore. These portfolios are based on our Strategic Asset Allocation Model, then customized to suit the needs of each individual client.
In general, the "All-Asset" Core Portfolio would have a small number of individual index security positions with the broadest representation of an asset class. At the other end of the spectrum, the "All-Asset" Active Portfolio would have a greater number of positions of index securities with more narrowly focused sub-asset class exposure within a broader individual asset class.
For example, the “All-Asset" Core Portfolio might utilize an index security representing the S&P 500 Index for a position in the U.S. Equities asset class. The “All-Asset" Explore Portfolio might represent the U.S. Equities asset class with index securities that are based upon market capitalization, investment style, industry sectors or other characteristics. The Ridley "All-Asset" Core & Explore Portfolio offers an additional level of portfolio sophistication combining investments in securities listed for the other Portfolios. A Covered Call Option program is available on the Ridley “All-Asset” Core and Core & Explore Portfolios.
Recently, we have added an additional portfolio management product, the Ridley "Active Asset" portfolio, designed to provide clients with a multi-strategy exposure to global-macro, directional and event driven trading opportunities. The "Active Asset" portfolio seeks higher investment returns and is suitable for investors with the ability to take greater risk. Existing clients may designate a portion of their current investment assets towards the "Active Asset" portfolio structure.
In addition, Ridley Asset Management manages separate accounts with different objectives than the Ridley “All-Asset” and "Active Asset" Portfolios. Clients may have their existing portfolio of securities transferred to Ridley Asset Management and transitioned into a Ridley "All-Asset" Portfolio in a tax efficient manner. Also, a client may select Ridley Asset Management to implement a single asset class portfolio based on the investment selection of the "All-Asset" Core & Explore Portfolio.
“There are two times in a man’s life when he should not speculate: when he can’t afford it, and when he can.”
